Availability patterns
An availability pattern is the reusable schedule behind one or more Book a Time pages. Guests only see times that remain free after your rules and existing bookings.
Recurring availability
Define which weekdays and local time ranges you are open. You can add multiple sets, for example mornings on weekdays and a shorter Saturday window.
Recurring unavailability
Block repeating gaps inside open days, such as lunch, commute, or focus time, without deleting your open hours.
Holidays
Choose one or more country holiday calendars for the pattern (for example Japan and the United States). Public holidays from those calendars block booking automatically as the catalog updates. On create and on the Holidays page you can turn calendars off or deselect individual holidays (shown with name and date) you still want to offer. One-off dates that are not public holidays belong under Exceptions.
Exceptions
Override specific dates. Mark a day unavailable, or replace hours for travel and one-off schedules. An exception can also reopen hours on a public holiday — exceptions override holidays for those dates.
Timezone
Patterns store times in the timezone you choose. Your account timezone in Settings is the default for new patterns and booking pages. Guests still view slots in their own timezone on the public page.
Upcoming preview
On the pattern detail screen, preview how rules expand into upcoming free intervals so you can catch mistakes before sharing a link.
Inspect availability
When a day or time looks wrong, open Inspect availability from the pattern hub (or from a booking page’s Customize / Inspect links). The inspector shows a month calendar with layered markers, a selected-day why stack (weekly hours, recurring unavailability, holidays, exceptions), and an optional day timeline.
Turn on Show live calendar busy to overlay opaque free/busy from connected calendars — never event titles. Busy still blocks booking even when the pattern looks open; change calendars under Settings → Integrations. Exceptions do not import Google busy into the pattern.
From the Exceptions editor you see the same layers while picking dates, with shortcuts to reopen a holiday or mark a day unavailable.
Pattern limits and export
Free includes up to 3 availability patterns. Pro is unlimited. You can export pattern data from the app. For bulk setup from spreadsheets, use import. Saved custom recipes require Pro.
Import availability
You can import recurring hours and date exceptions from CSV or Excel. Use Find Me Time Format for the simplest setup, or a custom YAML recipe for existing spreadsheets with different columns.
